LAP-SIT STORY TIME AND PRE-SCHOOL STORY HOUR
“Native Americans” will be the theme on Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
Usually one half-hour session is held for Lap-Sit Story Time each Tuesday at 10:00 AM with parent and child attending the story time and Pre-School Story Hour is held each Tuesday at 10:30 AM. In both sessions, children listen to stories and participate in finger plays, songs and crafts. There is no cost for this service and new families are always welcome. NATIONAL GAMING DAY @ YOUR LIBRARY
Families are invited to come and enjoy some fun time together with other families on Saturday, November 15th from 10-11:30 AM in the Community Room of the library.
Hasbro has donated a copy of its game “Pictureka!” to every public library branch in the U.S. so that we can set a record for the most number of people playing a board game on the same day!
We’ll also have puzzles and other board games including Chess, Racko, Scrabble, Scrabble Junior, Sequence, Whitzzle Pro, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Families are also encouraged to bring board games from home.

USED BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Pigeon District Library will be having its November Used Book Sale on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the reference room of the library from 10:00 AM – 11:30 PM. Prices range from $.25 to $3.00. Also, don’t forget the On-Going Used Paperback Sale. Paperback books are always available on the bookshelf to the right of the aquarium in the Children’s Room.

COFFEE TIME AT THE LIBRARY
Hot coffee and tea are available on Thursdays in the Reference Room of the library. Come and relax with a cup of coffee or tea while reading the newspaper or visiting with fellow readers.
CHRISTMAS SWEATSHIRTS
The library staff is ordering Holiday Sweatshirts. The price will be around $15.00 per sweatshirt. If you are interested in ordering one or more, information and order forms can be found on the table of the library’s information center.
