USED BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Pigeon District Library will be having its November Used Book Sale on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the reference room of the library from 10:00 AM – 11:30 PM. Prices range from $.25 to $3.00. Also, don’t forget the On-Going Used Paperback Sale. Paperback books are always available on the bookshelf to the right of the aquarium in the Children’s Room.
LAP-SIT STORY TIME AND PRE-SCHOOL STORY HOUR
“Cookie Monster” will be the theme held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
Usually one half-hour session is held for Lap-Sit Story Time each Tuesday at 10:00 AM with parent and child attending the story time and Pre-School Story Hour is held each Tuesday at 10:30 AM. In both sessions, children listen to stories and participate in finger plays, songs and crafts. There is no cost for this service and new families are always welcome. LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF MICHIGAN 2008 VOTING GUIDE
Copies of the League of Women Voters of Michigan 2008 Nonpartisan Voter Guide are available at the library to assist voters as they prepare for the General Election which will be held on Tuesday, November 4.

Thursday, November 6th from 2 PM -6 PM and Friday, November 7th from
10 AM – 5 PM.

COFFEE TIME AT THE LIBRARY
Hot coffee and tea are available on Thursdays in the Reference Room of the library. Come and relax with a cup of coffee or tea while reading the newspaper or visiting with fellow readers.
CHRISTMAS SWEATSHIRTS
The library staff is ordering Holiday Sweatshirts. The price will be around $15.00 per sweatshirt. If you are interested in ordering one or more, information and order forms can be found on the table of the library’s information center.
