Do you know someone who needs help reading a form, a recipe, a set of instructions, or other written material? They can visit any public library in Huron County on the first Monday of the month and someone will help them. The program starts May 4. If you’re interested in volunteering for Help 4U, please contact this library at (989) 453-2341 or any other county library.
COFFEE TIME AT THE LIBRARY
The staff at the Pigeon District Library invites you to come to the library and enjoy a cup of coffee while you are reading the newspaper or a magazine or visiting with fellow readers. This little enjoyment in everyday life takes place on Thursdays in the Reference Room of the library. Come read and relax with a cup of coffee.
LIBRARY ON-LINE BOOKSHOP
If you shop on-line for movies, music or books, you can support the library by visiting the on-line bookstore instead of going to Amazon.com or other on-line sites. When you buy at www.pigeon.librarybook-shop.net, 10% of the proceeds from your purchases will be paid to the library. There are millions of titles to choose from, and the bookshop will meet any lower price found elsewhere for any item. Purchases over $25 get free shipping. Tell your friends and family-no matter where they live-how they can support their hometown library.
