Monday and Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

USED BOOK SALE
There will be no Used Book Sale on Saturday, August 4, 2012. The Friends of the Pigeon District Library will be having a Used Book Sale in September. Also, don’t forget the Self-Serve Used Book Sale. Selected hardcover and paperback books are always on the bookshelves near the circulation counter.

LAP-SIT STORY TIME AND PRE-SCHOOL STORY HOUR
“Smile” will be the theme for Tuesday, August 7, 2012. One half-hour session is held for Lap-Sit Story Time each Tuesday at 10:00 AM with parent and child attending the Story Time and Pre-School Story Hour is held each Tuesday at 10:30 AM. In both sessions, children listen to stories and participate in finger plays, songs, and crafts. There is no cost for this service and new families are always welcome. For more information, please call the library at 453-2341 and ask for Jane Himmel.

LIBRARY CATALOG APP ON FACEBOOK
Have you seen the new Catalog App on our Facebook Page? If you haven’t tried it yet,
we think you are in for a wonderful surprise! It is the easy way for you to access the library while staying connected within Facebook.

You now have the ability to access the library catalog from Facebook. You can search the catalog to check the availability and location of an item. You can log into your account to place holds or view the items you currently have checked out. You can even renew your materials directly from Facebook. It’s so simple!

As an added bonus, when you use the PDL library app from within Facebook, it’s super easy to “Like” or share the items you enjoy with family and friends.

The new Catalog App is a fun and convenient way of bringing the library to you while you are on Facebook catching up with friends!

THURSDAY REFRESHMENTS
Cold lemonade is available on Thursdays in the Reference Room of the library. Come and relax with a cup of lemonade while studying, reading the newspaper or visiting with fellow readers.
